What PulseWaves is — and isn't

Wellness & entertainment app

Built for focus, rest and relaxation. It does not diagnose, treat or cure any condition.

Your heart rate drives the music

We use it to shape each live session — read our Privacy Policy for exactly what's collected and why.

Free plan, real limits

The Free tier is genuinely usable: two modes, four instruments and 25-minute sessions, with ads on Pomodoro breaks.

How it works

Sounds great alone. Even better with a wearable.

No wearable, no problem — PulseWaves generates a full live session from a steady baseline pulse. Pair a device that shares heart rate through Android Health Connect — most Wear OS watches, Fitbit and Google Fit sources — or connect a Bluetooth heart-rate monitor directly, and it switches to your real, live heartbeat.

🫀 Adaptive by design

Tempo, texture and harmony shift in real time as your heart rate moves.

🎧 Binaural, generated live

Every note is synthesized on your device in the moment — not a looped recording.

🍅 Built-in Pomodoro

Focus and break cycles run themselves, so you don't have to touch your phone.

🎹 10 live instruments

Pad, Kalimba, Rhodes, Grand Piano, Tibetan Bowl, Marimba, Strings and more.

🌈 4 visualizers

Your heartbeat rendered as geometry that breathes and pulses with you.

🌙 5 modes

Focus, Relax, Sleep, Power Nap and AutoBiosonic — pick what the moment calls for.

FAQ

Questions, answered

Do I need a smartwatch or heart-rate monitor?

No. PulseWaves plays a full live session on its own, from a steady resting-heart-rate baseline. Connect through Android Health Connect (most Wear OS watches, Fitbit and Google Fit sources) or pair a Bluetooth heart-rate monitor directly, and it switches to your real, live pulse — the best experience, but never required.

Which wearables and health apps are supported?

Anything that shares heart rate through Android's Health Connect — most Wear OS watches, Fitbit and Google Fit sources — works on every plan. Premium+ also lets you pair a Bluetooth heart-rate monitor directly. Native Samsung Health and Huawei Health integrations are on our roadmap, not available yet.

Does PulseWaves work offline?

Yes — the live music engine runs fully on-device, so sessions work without an internet connection. You'll only need connectivity for ads on the Free plan and to manage your subscription.

Is my heart-rate data private?

Your heart rate is used to shape each live session on your device. PulseWaves also uses standard analytics, crash reporting, and — on the Free plan — ads. Read the full Privacy Policy for exactly what's collected and shared.

Is PulseWaves a medical device?

No. PulseWaves is a wellness and entertainment app. It does not diagnose, treat, monitor or cure any medical condition, and it isn't a substitute for professional care.

What's the real difference between Free, Pro and Premium+?

Free covers Focus and Relax with 4 instruments and 25-minute sessions. Pro ($1.99/mo) removes the session limit, adds Sleep and Power Nap, and drops ads from Pomodoro. Premium+ ($4.99/mo) unlocks every mode, all 10 instruments, all 4 visualizers, and direct Bluetooth connection.

What changes when I connect a wearable?

Without one, PulseWaves plays from a steady baseline pulse — every mode still works. Connect a wearable and tempo, texture and the visualizer shift live with your real heartbeat, which is what AutoBiosonic mode is built to react to.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Subscriptions are billed and managed through Google Play — cancel whenever you like, no phone calls or forms.
